What have you been up to since WRHS: After finishing college, where I met my husband, I came back to the Window Rock School District to teach health and p.e. at Tse Ho Tso Middle School. I also coach girls volleyball and basketball at the middle school.
I have four boys, one recently enlisted into the Navy. I also have one grand-daughter, yes...I am a grandma!
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS Homecoming! Being with my friends, especially our senior year, those were the days...

What have you been up to since WRHS: Enlisted in the US Army. Did a one year'hardship' tour in South Korea. I became a Navajo Police Officer and worked in Window Rock and surrounding area for four years, and became a Criminal Investigator (Sergeant) and transferred to Crownpoint, NM. In January of 2001 I left the Police department and enrolled at UNM-Albuquerque. I graduated with a degree in Criminology/Pre-law. I am currently awaiting notification of acceptance to UNM, ASU, University of Kansas, and UC San Fran. schools of law.

What have you been up to since WRHS: Well that is kind of a hard question... I joined the Navy in 1974 and spent a year in school. Got sent to NAS North Island working on the S3A aircraft. I was the computer specialist on the plane. Got out of the Navy in 1981 and then went back to work for the Navy in 1985. Got married in 1979 to a Philippino lady. Recently got divorced and have found a wonderful woman whom I now live with. Have a daughter 17 and a son that is almost 3.My love for stock car racing got me to driving for a few years and now I work for a race track in El Cajon.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS Band Trips and concerts. All my old friends. Running around in my Corvair then my Dodge truck. Won't forget Wade's face when I first climbed outta that little Corvair. The dances were cool too.

What have you been up to since WRHS: Studied Sports Med at Oklahoma Christian University for two years. took time off to learn Massage Therapy, got certified! Moved to Minnesota for 8years, Worked as a massage therapist for a couple of years, worked also at UPS. transfered to different company- fedex. transfered down to Arkansas. worked at fedex for a couple of Months then was given a great opportunitie to apply for a job at a law firm (the biggest here in Arkansas) Loved it since & have been here for year &1/2. I would love to hear from some old classmates of mine! Have not been back to rez since My father passed away & buried him in CO! sure miss the fry bread & mutton though, can't find great cooking like that anywhere! anyway, I'm coaching softball in my spare time, bible studies & writing a book (never gunnu get done) and searching for love, ha no just kidding

What have you been up to since WRHS: Took a yr. off after graduating, big mistake. Attend Haskell Indian Jr. College in Lawrence, Ks. Made great friends from all different Tribes. After 2 yrs there, came back to the Rez. and work for 6yrs with the Navajo Scholarship office. While working I also took part-time classes at Dine College, but still no degree yet. I left the rez to move to Phoenix,AZ. I have been in Phoenix for 5 yrs. now presently work for an Insurance Company in Scottsdale.

What have you been up to since WRHS: Well lets see...I moved to Albuquerque, NM worked as a manager in a resturant. Meetn' all the fine honies (asians,blks,cacasions,hispanics). Went to school and graduated from Southwest Health Career Institute for Massage Therapy in March '03. I'm a national and international famous poet and poet of the year for 2003, my poem "Native Hero" was published along with many other famous poets. I was living in Flagstaff for a while with my lil' sister Miss Gwendolyn Tom, I moved back to the rez-fez, I'm working for NAU, I own two small private businesses. I was this years 04, assistant coach for the mid school softball team, a member of the bois basketball booster club...but I plan to go back to school for graphic arts, and culinay arts in Albuquerque. And...that's all folks!
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS Favorite memory...lets see...my frends (PND), my art class/teacher Ms. Amy Simpson-Paul she was cool. She was the 1st teacher that helped me sell my 1st painting in Window 'Rock' High School. Miss Stephan, she is so old school punk rock, Mr. Mansour(woozie man) that guy was to cool to hate on, Mr. Rhineheart- I think every gurl in school had a crush on him. Football games, definetly wrestling matches(come on gurls you no it), baseball(Tuba City's cather)/sofball games, homecomings. Oh thanks to whoever broke into the school, my senior year...if it weren't for you my class and I wouldn't have graduated. Last but not least graduation day, although the ceromony was boring(who was your class prez?), I was psyched to finally recieve my diploma from Window 'ROCK' High School!
Messages to other Classmates: ummm...hello? Be cool stay in school, say no to drugs. You no there is more to life than doing drugs, and thnkin your all that and a bag of potato chips. Once you graduate, that's it, no more playing around, you have to learn how to be an adult in a great big universe, and only heaven holds that sight of wonder...for some death takes them at a young age 'cause of the choices they make. What have you been up to since WRHS: I would of graduated from WRHS in 1996, but life took me in another direction and I ended up in California, Colorado and now Chicago. I have no regrets, but I do wish I had more wonderful memories of Window Rock. I am currently working at a free health clinic for the uninsured (something similar to IHS, except these are only a handful of 44 million uninsured in America). I have worked there for almost 2 years and have decided to dedicate my life to the field of health care. I am pursuing my masters in public health this fall at Univ. of Illinois at Chicago and plan to eventually get my clinical degree as a Nurse Pracitioner.

Your Favorite Memory of WRHS So Many: First Sadie Hawkins dance that my wife and I chaperoned. We went out to dance with everyone but ended up all by ourselves!!! Wins in Baskeball over Holbrook and Chinle, The great game the 68-69 Frosh team played against a monster Flagstaff Frosh team and that same team beating an undefeated Gallup Jr. High team. Dennis Williams getting us into and then back out at Jerome, Az. for a basketball game. I'm still not sure how he did it. It had to be magic. And of course in baseball there are many personal rememberances of the indviduals on the teams, hard times and good times. But, beating Gallup when they tried to demean us, whipping Holbrook the 2nd yr. Twice and then the 3rd yr. also. Being broke in by Tony, Teddy, Herman, and Woody as a new coach. Wish we would have had another year together. Having the 10 run rule done on teams who thought they were better than us. Itchy, Ore Foster, Rocky, Floyd and the rest of that fantastic frosh team. But THE BEST is now going back and seeing and hearing about the success of so many of the students of the era. Glenn Haven now pricipal and Chuck Foster as well. Lenora Hubbard told me she was going to be a doctor and now is one. Aritie head accountant at TANF- Jim Fredeberg in the FBI and he and Ronnie married. If the minister is the same Roscoe Smith. I know there are many, many more and I congratulate you all. Thanks for the memories. Do you remember the pep rally and the tall woman in the red dress???

What have you been up to since WRHS: After graduating from WR, I stayed out a semester which was a bad idea because I would have my degree right about now. I started school in Spring 01 and still going. I am majoring in Architectural Technology and I should have my degree by Fall 05. I am also working with Salt River Education Department, I run my own program, its called S.T.E.P. Up Tutoring Program and it is going good. Thats what i have been up since graduation day.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS My favorite memories is my senior year. I had a blast with friends and kicked butt in the sports i played. Specially in baseball, first time ever in scout history making it to the final four. Good Times.

What have you been up to since WRHS: Moved to Ada, Oklahoma from Fort Defiance in July, 1979. Worked at the Indian Hospital at Ada, until I retired in September, 1994. Stayed in Ada after retirement.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS Watching my 3sons and 2 daughters
participate in school activities. I'm not a WRHS graduate. My five children attended school there. One graduated from high school (Donna Little) and two
from 8th grade (Byron Dixon and Lisa Dixon) before we moved to Ada. My other two boys attended school at WRHS, but graduated elsewhere (Eddie Little and Craig Dixon, Jr.) Some of you may know them.

What have you been up to since WRHS: I have attended Navajo Community College for a couple of years and since than been working for McDonalds in Window Rock for the past five years. I than took leave to have my baby girl (MiTaya). Since than I've been enjoying staying home and watching my little girl grow up in front of my eyes.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS My memories of WRHS is weight training with Mandoza. Also playing girls freshman basketball for coach Zee. Having classes with Mr. Valtoe.

What have you been up to since WRHS: I am attending SAGU in Texas. I have 2 semesters till I graduate. I am the Assistant Coach of the SAGU Lady Lions Volleyball Team, And Head Coach of a 15's Boys Club Volleyball Team. I also work at the American Airlines Center in Dallas TX, I work for the Dallas Mavericks. Soon to be interviewing for the Dell Internship.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS Well there were a lot, I guess. From going to all the Games (Basketball, Volleyball, Football), to Throwing for the Track Team, To being involved with the Senior Class Council thingy. I would rather call it an experience I would never forget.
Messages to other Classmates: High School is just a safe zone, once you get out in the world, you have to experience life outside the box. Never take what you have for granted, It may have been given to you easily, it also can be taken away just the same way.

What have you been up to since WRHS: I joined the Naval Air Force after high school and was stationed in Jacksonville, FL. Was attending Avionics Electronic Tech. school...afterwards went out on deployment with Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-83 to Iraq in April 1998. Spent 8 months out there during Operation Desert Shield and came back in time for the holidays in December 1998...Afterwards my squadron was relocated in Virginia Beach, VA. and spent another 3 years there. In April 2000 was deployed to the Persian Gulf and Adriatic Sea during the Afghanistan War. After 8 months in Afghanistan I came back to the states in time for the holidays. Afterwards I took orders to San Diego, CA. NAS North Island AIMD as an Avionics Electronic Tech. and re-enlisted into the Naval Air Force. Spent another 3 years here in San Diego, CA. and was Honorable Dicharge from the service. Right now I'm currently employed with Northrop Grumman as an Aviation Electronic Engineer. and also finishing up my BS in Aeronautical Maintenance Management at Cal State.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS Hang'n out with friends and ROCK'n the Field House during basketball season...Especially during 97 homecoming against MV...when I swatted Bobby Manheimer...LMAO...Just gotta love it!!!

What have you been up to since WRHS: Since graduating from WRHS? I am happily married living in Las Vegas, NV with my husband Jerol and our 3 daughters I finally finished my Associates Degree and plan on going back to school to gain more knowledge in the Medical field.

What have you been up to since WRHS: After graduating from WR, I stayed out a semester which was a bad idea because I would have my degree right about now. I started school in Spring 01 and still going. I am majoring in Architectural Technology and I should have my degree by Fall 05. I am also working with Salt River Education Department, I run my own program, its called S.T.E.P. Up Tutoring Program and it is going good. Thats what i have been up since graduation day.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS My favorite memories is my senior year. I had a blast with friends and kicked butt in the sports i played. Specially in baseball, first time ever in scout history making it to the final four. Good Times.

What have you been up to since WRHS: Moved to Ada, Oklahoma from Fort Defiance in July, 1979. Worked at the Indian Hospital at Ada, until I retired in September, 1994. Stayed in Ada after retirement.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS Watching my 3sons and 2 daughters
participate in school activities. I'm not a WRHS graduate. My five children attended school there. One graduated from high school(Donna Little) and two
from 8th grade (Byron Dixon and Lisa Dixon)before we moved to Ada. My other two boys attended school at WRHS, but graduated elsewhere (Eddie Little and Craig Dixon, Jr.) Some of you may know them.

What have you been up to since WRHS: I have attended Navajo Community College for a couple of years and since than been working for McDonalds in Window Rock for the past five years. I than took leave to have my baby girl (MiTaya). Since than I've been enjoying staying home and watching my little girl grow up in front of my eyes.
Your Favorite Memory of WRHS My memories of WRHS is weight training with Mandoza. Also playing girls freshman basketball for coach Zee. Having classes with Mr. Valtoe.
